What types of bed frames are there?

Are sprung or solid slats better?
Most of our bed frames use a slatted base. Solid slats are flat and rigid and give firmer, even support, which suits pocket sprung and open coil mattresses. Sprung slats are gently curved and flex with your weight, adding a little give that pairs well with memory foam and hybrid mattresses. Both work with any mattress, so it comes down to how firm you like the feel. For even support, look for slats no more than about 7cm apart.
Which bed frame is the strongest?
For the most support, a solid wooden frame or a sturdy metal frame with central legs and closely spaced slats will last the longest. If two people or a heavier mattress will use the bed, check the weight rating in the product details. How long should a bed frame last?
A well-made bed frame lasts around 7 to 10 years, and a solid wooden frame can last far longer with care. Tighten the bolts every few months, avoid sitting on the edges, and keep the slats sitting flat and evenly spaced. A good frame often outlives several mattresses, so it is worth buying quality once.
How do I stop a bed frame from squeaking?
Most squeaks come from loose joints or slats rubbing. Tighten every bolt, add felt pads or a strip of cloth where wood or metal parts meet, and check that the slats sit flat in their holders. If the squeak comes back, a bolt has usually worked loose again, so re-tighten every few months.
How do I assemble a bed frame?
